• If you install Witzo via the Shopify App Store, your Shopify store name, store domain, and account details shared with us by Shopify at the time of installation

Billing Information

How your payment is processed depends on how you access Witzo:

• Direct purchases (witzo.ai / app.witzo.ai): payments are collected and processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Witzo does not store full card details. Your bank or card statement may show the transaction as Dodo Payments or Dodo*Witzo.
• Shopify app purchases: if you install and subscribe to Witzo through the Shopify App Store, your payment is billed and processed by Shopify as part of your Shopify account charges, under Shopify's own billing and privacy terms. Witzo receives confirmation of your subscription status from Shopify but does not receive or store your card details.

Usage Data

When you use the Witzo platform, we may collect:

• Chat interactions and conversations
• AI queries and generated responses
• Usage metrics and analytics
• Feature interaction data

This information helps operate the platform and monitor service performance.

Training Data

Witzo processes the content you provide to train your AI agent, including:

• Website pages submitted through URL scraping
• Uploaded documents such as PDF, DOC, DOCX, CSV, XLS, XLSX, and TXT
• Knowledge sources used for AI responses
• For Shopify merchants, product catalog and store content you choose to connect for AI training purposes

Technical Data

We may automatically collect certain technical information such as:

• IP address
• Browser type
• Device information
• Operating system
• Access time and activity logs

2. How We Use Information

We use the information collected to:

• Provide and operate the Witzo platform, including the Shopify app
• Train and generate AI responses based on your data
• Manage user accounts and subscriptions
• Process payments through Dodo Payments, or confirm subscription status via Shopify for Shopify-app purchases
• Monitor platform usage and limits
• Improve service performance and reliability
• Provide customer support
• Detect and prevent security threats or misuse

3. AI Processing of Data

Witzo uses artificial intelligence systems to generate responses during conversations.

To generate responses, portions of your data or conversation content may be processed by third-party AI infrastructure providers.

AI-generated responses are based on the content available in your Data Sources and may not always be accurate or complete.

Users are responsible for reviewing and validating AI-generated information before relying on it.

4. Data Storage

Witzo stores certain information necessary for platform operation, including:

• Knowledge sources used for training
• Chat conversations
• Usage analytics
• Lead information captured through the chat agent

Data storage infrastructure may include cloud databases and hosting services. The specific storage location depends on the infrastructure used for deployment.

5. Data Sharing

Witzo does not sell personal data.

However, information may be shared with trusted third-party providers that support the operation of the platform, such as:

• Dodo Payments - payment processing and billing for direct purchases
• Shopify - billing, account, and store information for merchants using the Shopify app
• Cloud infrastructure providers - hosting and storage
• AI model providers - response generation
• Analytics providers - system monitoring and usage analytics

These providers process data only as necessary to operate the service, under their own applicable privacy terms.

A list of current sub-processors and a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) are available on request for business customers.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Witzo may use cookies or similar technologies to maintain login sessions, analyze platform usage, and improve performance and reliability. If you access Witzo through the Shopify App Store, Shopify's admin interface may also set its own cookies, governed by Shopify's policies. See our Cookies Policy for details.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the service and meet operational or legal requirements. This may include account information, knowledge sources, chat conversations, lead records, and usage analytics.

Users may delete certain data through the dashboard or by contacting support.

Witzo may process and store data in different countries depending on the infrastructure used to operate the platform. By using the service, you consent to the transfer and processing of information across jurisdictions where necessary to provide the service.
