Document uploads let Witzo incorporate product catalogs, pricing spreadsheets, policies, manuals, and other business files into its knowledge base.

How it works
- Upload a document in the Dashboard.
- Witzo parses, chunks, and indexes the content.
- The agent uses the document as a knowledge source for answers.
Plan restrictions

File size considerations
Large files may:
- Take longer to process
- Increase chunk count
- Reduce retrieval precision
Keep documents focused and structured.
When to upload documents
Upload documents when:
- Pricing details are not fully available on the website
- Product catalogs are stored offline
- Internal knowledge must be referenced
- Policies and manuals are not published online
Replacing outdated files
- Open Dashboard → Data Sources
- Delete the outdated document
- Upload the updated file
- Retrain the agent
Avoid keeping both old and new versions together.
Best practices
- Use clear headings and sections
- Avoid scanned image-only PDFs
- Keep one topic per document
- Remove duplicate or outdated content
Structured content improves answer precision.
Important Notes
Scanned PDFs without selectable text may not extract properly.
